Yes, there are additional requirements as follows:
- The Village does not provide for or arrange for assistance with any of the Acts of Daily Living such as: Bathing, personal hygiene, toileting, grooming, dressing, eating, medication management, etc.. All residents must be able to care for or have arranged for these services if they are needed.
- The Village is not an assisted living or residential care facility. It is not a nursing home or foster care home. The Village does not provide medical or assisted living services. All residents must be able to live independently or have their needs met independent of any help from The Village.
- Each and every resident or occupant must continue to maintain the Qualification for Occupancy as listed.
- Residency is limited to the registered applicant or applicants. No one else is permitted to live in the apartment. This includes anyone that is sleeping or staying in the apartment with the exception of guests that have been pre-approved for up to a 14 day temporary length of stay. All residents and guests must follow the policies outlined in The Village Guest Policies.
- Residents must remain non-smokers and non-users of alcohol in any form and that their guests do not smoke or drink alcohol in any form in their apartment or in the Village community. If residents are found to be smoking or using alcohol in any form they may be subject to termination of their rental agreement and/or eviction.
- A resident must not be a danger to others in any way and must not interfere with other residents’ quiet enjoyment of the community.
- If a resident desires to keep a pet or animal of any type, approval is required before the animal comes on The Village property. The resident must follow the guidelines and charges of The Village Pet Policy. All animals kept on The Village grounds must be licensed as required by governmental rules and codes and the resident must provide evidence of both vaccinations and license to The Village.
- Any live in Caregiver must meet the requirements of the Live in Caregiver policy. The Caregiver agreement must be signed and approved before the caregiver moves to The Village.
- Residents are strongly encouraged to obtain ‘renter’s insurance’ to protect their personal possessions. The Village is not responsible for a resident’s personal items.
- For the safety of all residents, firearms are not encouraged or permitted on the Village grounds with the exception of collectables maintained in a recognized locked gun cabinet and ammunition stored separately. Any and every firearm is required to be registered at The Village office and have Village approval. The Village reserves the right to limit the type, or the number of firearms in any situation. The Village has the sole right to determine whether a resident is permitted to have a firearm.
- A resident must follow all rules as outlined in the Rules and Agreements, the rental agreement, the Helpful Information Guide and any written in-house rules and policies.
